🕯️ Labour candidates Robbie Gordon and Shantu Ferdous and outgoing councillor Simon Rush of Plaistow West and Canning Town East, who is now a candidate in Custom House, recently visited the COVID-19 Memorial Garden in Plaistow Park.

Opened by Newham Council in 2023 with Shantu and Simon in attendance, the Memorial Garden gives us a beautiful, treasured space within Mother Nature to reflect and remember and honour the lives of those lost during the COVID-19 Pandemic, as well as our front-line workers who supported Newham’s most vulnerable at this time.

We plan to return to the garden on 6 March to mark the Newham COVID-19 Day of Reflection and Memorial Day.
