The federal ministry of Health and social welfare has confirmed that there is no evidence of the XEC variant of covid 19 in Nigeria.
This follows concerns about the resurgence of covid-19 in the country. The ministry also said it has stepped up surveillance at all entry points into the country.
The ministry advised the public not to panic but continue with the universal precautions of observing personal hygiene, including regular washing of hands.
